I think it is a disgrace to lose such a rare piece of history in our town. It saddens me every time I drive by the Marion Tavern, that it was left in such disrepair. I think Burlington needs to rally together and do our own version of "Extreme Home Makeover" and ask for local companies to donate time and resources to restore the structure. I think that the structure should be turned over to the Historical Commission, who are far more fit to make decisions regarding historical structures.
